About this Course
This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in supervisory and technical specialist positions in civil construction. They perform tasks involving a broad range of varied work activities most of which are specialised and within known or changing contexts. They are responsible for the quantity and quality of their own work, as well as for the output of others. They contribute to the development of technical solutions to non-routine problems.

Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will attain a Nationally Recognised Qualification in RII40720 Certificate IV in Civil Construction which is a total of 12 units of competencies (5 Core units & 7 Electives specialising in either supervision or operations)

Recognition of Prior Learning
Each student would be offered the opportunity to undertake a formal Recognition of Prior Learning assessment to determine the extent of any prior learning and on-the-job skills and knowledge, to potentially reduce the amount of training required. Where participants are able to provide sufficient evidence of holding the required skills and knowledge in a unit of competency they may not be required to undertake any training in that unit.
