Course Description:

The Yellow Card training course RIIHAN301E – Operate elevating work platform provides students with the skills and knowledge to operate of a boom-type elevating work platform under 11m and scissor lift.

The boom and scissor lift training units describe a participant’s skill and knowledge required to operate an elevating work platform in a variety of industries. The units are appropriate for those working in operational roles.

This course is the EWPA Yellow Card which is accredited through the Elevating Work Platform Association (EWPA).


Public courses run at Kallibr Training (RTO 32365) locations in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Private training can be organised and conducted onsite if the following training and assessment requirements are met:

  • Training room with tables, chairs and screen (or blank wall for a projector)
  • Suitable clear, flat operating area for practical training.
  • Each type of EWP required (in serviceable condition with no faults and operator manual present)
  • Fall Arrest harness with current inspection.

What is an EWP?

An Elevated Work Platform (AS2550.10; 1.3.7) is a mobile machine (device) that is self-propelling, or towable by trailer or truck and used to move persons, tools, and materials to elevated working positions. An EWP consists of at least a work platform with controls, an extending structure, and a chassis. There are many variations of EWPs, but they can be classified as either Boom type or Scissor type.

Important Information

If a participant withdraws from a qualification/unit, with less than seven (7) business days notice prior to commencement, Kallibr Training reserves the right to retain the 30% administration booking fee.

No refund will be provided within two (2) business days prior to commencement. No refund will be permitted after course commencement or if a participant fails to attend on the scheduled commencement date.
