About this Course

Course Description:

This course will provide students with the TSHA Gold Card Licence.

This Telehandler Ticket/Telehandler Licence unit describes a participant’s skills and knowledge required to conduct telescopic materials handler operations in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries.

This Telehandler Ticket/Telehandler Licence unit is appropriate for those working in operational roles.

Training will be completed with fork tynes, however if required, training can also be completed with other attachments such as crane jibs, earthmoving buckets, grabs etc.

This course does not cover the requirements for operating a slewing telehandler or for crane jib attachments with a lifting capacity over 3 tonnes. A High Risk Work licence class C2 or above is required for slewing telehandlers, or CN or above for crane jib attachments over 3 tonne.

A TSHA Gold Card licence assessment can be organised upon request for students located outside NSW.

Location:

Public courses run at Kallibr Training (RTO 32365) locations in Sydney.

Private training can be organised and conducted onsite if the following training and assessment requirements are met:

  • A room with access to power, a blank wall for presentation, a projector screen or a large TV, table/s and chairs.
  • Suitable clear operating area
  • Telehandler (in serviceable condition with no faults and operator manual present)
  • Each type of attachment required (in serviceable condition with no faults)

Learning Outcome

On completion of the course, participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge in:

  • Plan Operations: Hazard management and consultation
  • Pre-operational Inspections: on the telehandler and each type of attachment being conducted
  • Operate: shifting loads and travelling through obstacles
  • Conclude Operations: Parking, securing the equipment and following site specific procedures

Outcome

A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and a telescopic handler trained operator Gold Card licence issued the Telescopic Handler Association (TSHA)

Forklift VS Telehandler?

Forklift: A forklift will have a vertical mast and an elevating load carriage. A pair of fork tynes or another load-holding attachment is fitted to the body.

Telehandler: A Telehandler will have a telescoping boom with varying height/reach and a lifting attachment (Forks, jib, bucket etc.)

What is a TSHA Telehandler Gold Card?

A TSHA Gold Card is the name of Operator License Card issued to individuals who successfully complete training for one or more of the 4 attachment type training modules for a Telehandler.

You are legally required to hold a TSHA Gold Card in order to operate a Telehandler.

The purpose of the Gold Card is to show you have been trained in the safe operation of using a Telehandler. You can request a Gold Card after completing a Kallibr Telehandler Course.

Important Information

If a participant withdraws from a qualification/unit, with less than seven (7) business days notice prior to commencement, Kallibr Training reserves the right to retain the 30% administration booking fee.

No refund will be provided within two (2) business days prior to commencement. No refund will be permitted after course commencement or if a participant fails to attend on the scheduled commencement date.
