Intermediate Rigging Course

An intermediate rigging licence is compulsory for carrying out more complex rigging activities on Australian work sites. It will also open doors to career advancement and better-paid jobs in a range of industries where there is a requirement for specialised rigging skills.

Unique Rigging Training Methods

We train students in real-world conditions with purpose-built training yards in Sydney and Brisbane. The yards are equipped with specially designed height structures and modern industry standard equipment – cranes, forklifts, boom lifts, and other industrial equipment. 

Our set up provides students with hands on training that mimics real-life rigging situations across a wide range of scenarios, albeit in a safe, controlled space. This allows for a seamless transition to any working environment. 

They also have access to additional practice time should it be required.

Experienced Course Instructors

Kallibr Training’s accredited instructors are highly skilled professionals from diverse backgrounds with years of rigging industry experience – army, fire and rescue, mining, civil and major construction, crane yards etc. They bring a wealth of practical knowledge and insights with them, and can draw on personal experiences to provide real examples and case studies.

Advanced Modern Rigging Equipment and Facilities

All training is done using, well-maintained equipment in purpose-built training facilities in Sydney and Brisbane. We have a wide range of full-sized structures and rigging equipment, including Telex, Tadano, dual hoist cranes, winches, Preston counter-levered crane-loading platforms, and lifting gear. 

This extensive exposure to industry standard equipment during training ensures students easily transition to workplace environments.

Real-World Intermediate Applications

Our  training is specifically designed to be directly applicable across multiple industries. Our students therefore graduate with transferable skills and knowledge, allowing them to work on construction sites, in warehouses, on large-scale industrial projects, mine sites, and even in specialised areas like wind farms.

Certification and Ongoing Support

Upon successful completion of the Intermediate Rigging Licence (CPCCLRG3002 ) course, students receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and can apply for their HRWL – Class RI . 

High Risk Work Licences must be renewed every 5 years in Australia. However, industry bodies recommend undertaking refresher courses every 2 years to stay up to date with current safety and workplace legislation and practices. Many companies in fact insist on this as a condition of employment.
