About this Front End Loader Course (Wheeled)

Need your front end loader ticket? You’re in the right place.

This course is designed for workers in operational roles across the civil construction industry. It provides the essential skills and knowledge required to safely operate a wheeled front end loader, including planning work, using attachments, and handling materials efficiently.

You’ll be trained and assessed to demonstrate competency over at least two separate occasions in real or simulated site conditions, following national safety and industry standards.

Note: If attachment use is part of assessment, an integrated tool carrier must be used.

Course Outline
This course includes both theory and hands-on practical training focused on safe, efficient operations.

You’ll cover:

  • Safety procedures and legislative obligations

  • Site planning and hazard identification

  • Pre-operational machine checks

  • Operating the wheeled front end loader

  • Lifting, moving, and placing materials

  • Using attachments where required

  • Relocating and maintaining equipment

  • Cleaning up the site

All course participants must be:

  • 18 years or older
  • Able to read, understand, and write English
  • Able to produce and meet the evidence of identity criteria as per SafeWork / Worksafe identification requirements

Protective Personal Equipment – safety boots, high-visibility vests, and hard hats– is mandatory.

If a participant requires a reassessment for a High-Risk Work Licence an additional $250.00 + GST reassessment fee will apply.

Private courses can be arranged at any of our facilities in New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland, or for added convenience, we can come to you and deliver the course at your site, provided your site meets training and assessment requirements.

Onsite Requirements : 

  • A room with access to power, a blank wall for presentation, a projector screen or a large TV, table/s and chairs.
  • Clear flat area for performing Front End Loader operations
  • Front End Loader (in serviceable condition with operator’s manual present)

Learning Outcome
Participants will gain the ability to:

  • Understand OHS obligations and site safety requirements

  • Follow instructions and safety procedures

  • Plan and perform loader operations

  • Lift, carry, and place materials

  • Fit and remove attachments (if applicable)

  • Perform operator maintenance and relocate the loader

  • Clean up the worksite

Outcome
A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued for:

We run 1-day earthmoving upgrade courses for experienced operators!

  • Duration: 1 day (8 hours)
  • Outcome: Statement of Attainment + a Verification of Competence VOC certificate.
  • Requirements: Students must hold an old OHS certification OR have 500+ hours of operational experience.

If a participant withdraws from a qualification/unit, with less than seven (7) business days notice prior to commencement, Kallibr Training reserves the right to retain the 30% administration booking fee.

No refund will be provided within two (2) business days prior to commencement. No refund will be permitted after course commencement or if a participant fails to attend on the scheduled commencement date.
