About this Online Course 

Unit of Competency: PUAFER006 – Lead an Emergency Control Organisation.

Designed for Chief Wardens, Deputy Wardens and Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) leaders, this nationally recognised training prepares participants to take command during workplace emergencies, ensuring the safe evacuation of occupants and effective coordination with emergency services.

Students learn how to assess emergency situations, implement emergency response procedures, direct evacuation activities, and communicate clearly with wardens, occupants and external responders. The course aligns with Australian Standards AS 3745 and AS 4083 for planning and managing emergencies in facilities.

Prerequisite:

  • Participants must hold the prerequisite unit PUAFER005 Operate as part of an emergency control organisation.

All course participants must be:

  • 18 years or older
  • Able to read, understand, and write English
  • Have the physical capability to perform the duties of a Chief Warden or ECO leader
  • Have access to a computer and stable internet connection

If a participant requires a reassessment for a High-Risk Work Licence an additional $250.00 + GST reassessment fee will apply.
