About this Introduction to the Gas Supply Industry Course

Looking to start a career in gas? This entry-level course provides the foundational skills and knowledge needed to begin working in the Gas Supply Industry.

You’ll gain a practical introduction to natural gas systems, safe work practices, environmental responsibilities, and how to establish and work safely on a utilities infrastructure site. It’s ideal for anyone new to the industry or preparing for further training.

Course Outline

Units covered:

  • UEGNSG031 – Prepare to Work in the Gas Industry

  • UEGNSG033 – Carry Out Basic Work Activities in a Gas Industry Work Environment

  • UEGNSG052 – Establish a Utilities Infrastructure Work Site

  • UEGNSG002 – Apply Environmental Policies and Procedures in the Gas Supply Industry

  • UEGNSG041 – Apply Safe Working Practices in the Gas Supply Industry

This course covers:

  • Preparing for work in the gas industry

  • Identifying and applying environmental policies and procedures

  • Establishing and preparing a gas work site

  • Applying safe work practices and risk controls

  • Carrying out basic field activities

  • Completing required documentation and reports

All course participants must be:

  • 18 years or older
  • Able to read, understand, and write English
  • Able to produce and meet the evidence of identity criteria as per SafeWork / Worksafe identification requirements

Protective Personal Equipment – safety boots, high-visibility vests, and hard hats– is mandatory.

If a participant requires a reassessment for a High-Risk Work Licence an additional $250.00 + GST reassessment fee will apply.

Private courses can be arranged at any of our facilities in New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland, or for added convenience, we can come to you and deliver the course at your site, provided your site meets training and assessment requirements.

Learning Outcome
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Work safely and effectively in a gas industry environment

  • Understand the environmental and safety obligations in gas operations

  • Set up and work on utilities infrastructure sites

  • Perform basic tasks required in gas field operations

  • Complete workplace documentation to industry standards

Certification Outcome
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for:

  • UEGNSG031, UEGNSG033, UEGNSG052, UEGNSG002, and UEGNSG041

If a participant withdraws from a qualification/unit, with less than seven (7) business days notice prior to commencement, Kallibr Training reserves the right to retain the 30% administration booking fee.

No refund will be provided within two (2) business days prior to commencement. No refund will be permitted after course commencement or if a participant fails to attend on the scheduled commencement date.
