Meriton

Introduction

Meriton is one of Australia’s largest and most successful apartment developers with 60 years of history delivering quality high-rise apartment blocks across the country.

Meriton’s Workplace Health and Safety team wanted to ensure their staff were competent working at heights, especially in the use of harnesses, static lines and other key equipment.

However, finding time amongst a busy project schedule to send cohorts of employees to off-site training was difficult. Training small groups of staff at a time would also draw out the time frame to complete the training.

Our Solution

The Kallibr Training (RTO 32365) team worked with Meriton to find a practical solution that would ensure a large number of employees could undertake training quickly and efficiently without unnecessary downtime.

Our assessor utilised harnesses, static lines and other height safety equipment, delivering training to over 200 people.

The results

Meriton has successfully upskilled 200 of its employees in RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights, with each worker now competent in hazard management, inspecting equipment, height safety access and equipment use.
