About this Refresher Confined Space & CPR Course

Need to refresh your confined space and emergency response skills? This combo refresher course is designed for workers who already hold the relevant units and need to maintain current competency for confined space entry and CPR in line with WHS and workplace standards.

You’ll revisit key safety processes including gas testing, permit-to-work systems, confined space procedures, and performing CPR in emergency situations.

Course Outline

Units covered:

  • RIIWHS202E – Enter and Work in Confined Space

  • MSMWHS217 – Gas Test Atmospheres

  • MSMPER200 – Work in Accordance with an Issued Permit

  • HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

You’ll refresh your skills in:

  • Planning and preparing for confined space work

  • Applying for and working under a permit system

  • Testing atmospheric conditions using gas detection equipment

  • Safely entering and exiting confined spaces

  • Performing CPR and responding to emergency situations

  • Documenting incidents and job outcomes

All course participants must be:

  • 18 years or older
  • Able to read, understand, and write English
  • Able to produce and meet the evidence of identity criteria as per SafeWork / Worksafe identification requirements

Protective Personal Equipment – safety boots, high-visibility vests, and hard hats– is mandatory.

If a participant requires a reassessment for a High-Risk Work Licence an additional $250.00 + GST reassessment fee will apply.

Private courses can be arranged at any of our facilities in New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland, or for added convenience, we can come to you and deliver the course at your site, provided your site meets training and assessment requirements.

Learning Outcome
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Safely plan, enter, and exit confined spaces

  • Apply and work within the conditions of a permit

  • Use gas testing equipment and assess worksite safety

  • Perform CPR and manage emergency incidents

  • Complete required documentation for both confined space work and first aid response

Certification Outcome
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for:

  • RIIWHS202E, MSMWHS217, MSMPER200, and HLTAID009

If a participant withdraws from a qualification/unit, with less than seven (7) business days notice prior to commencement, Kallibr Training reserves the right to retain the 30% administration booking fee.

No refund will be provided within two (2) business days prior to commencement. No refund will be permitted after course commencement or if a participant fails to attend on the scheduled commencement date.
