Polyfusion
This course will provide a sound knowledge and skill base for you to Butt Weld polyethylene (PE) plastic pipelines and to weld Polyethylene (PE) plastic pipes using Electrofusion. This includes large diameter Butt Weld and saddle and socket fusion.

How long is the Polyfusion course?
The full Polyfusion course takes 2 days. If you already hold the units and need a refresher, the refresher takes 1 day.
Is the Polyfusion course nationally recognised?
When you are assessed as competent you receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for PMBWELD301E, UEGNSG048, PMBWELD302E, issued by Kallibr Training (RTO 32365). Some parts of the course are non-accredited and are listed as such in the course details.
What are the entry requirements for Polyfusion?
There are no prerequisites. You also need to be 18 years or older; able to read, understand, and write English; able to produce and meet the evidence of identity criteria as per SafeWork / Worksafe identification requirements.
How much does the Polyfusion course cost?

Where can I do Polyfusion?
At our training centres in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, as dates are scheduled. We can also run it at your workplace for a group, if your site meets the training and assessment requirements.
How is Polyfusion assessed?
You are assessed through Q&A theory, practicals, and observations. If you are not yet competent in a part, your trainer explains what to work on and the options for reassessment.
Do I need a USI for Polyfusion?
Yes. A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is needed for all nationally recognised training. It is free and takes a few minutes to create at usi.gov.au.
What do I need to bring to Polyfusion?
Bring current photo ID and your USI, and wear enclosed safety boots and clothes suited to practical work. Your booking confirmation lists anything else this course needs.
Is there a refresher for Polyfusion?
Yes. If you have completed Polyfusion before, you can book the separate refresher class instead of the full course. Refresher dates are listed with the course dates on this page. Not sure which one you need? Call 1300 668 141.
What if I need help with reading or writing on Polyfusion?
You need to read, write and speak English well enough to work safely and complete the assessment. If you would like support, tell us when you book or call 1300 668 141, and we will talk through the options before you enrol.
Can I get credit for units I already hold on Polyfusion?
Possibly not. If you hold a Statement of Attainment for the same unit, we can give you credit for it. Send us a copy before you book, or call 1300 668 141.
Can you run Polyfusion for my team?
Yes. For 4 or more people we run private classes at our centres or at your site, around your shifts. Ask for a team quote.
