About this Perform Routine Maintenance Course

Want to build confidence in maintaining gas distribution pipelines and facilities? This course gives you the practical skills to carry out routine maintenance on gas infrastructure, identify faults, and complete essential documentation.

You'll learn how to use the tools, equipment, and testing devices needed to perform maintenance work safely and efficiently—skills that are critical in the day-to-day operations of the gas supply industry.

There are currently no licensing, legislative or certification requirements for this unit.

Course Outline

Unit: UEGNSG026 – Perform Routine Maintenance on Distribution Pipeline and Facilities

The course covers:

  • Preparing for routine maintenance tasks

  • Using appropriate tools, equipment, and testing devices

  • Performing maintenance procedures

  • Identifying faults and taking corrective actions

  • Completing job documentation and reports

All course participants must be:

  • 18 years or older
  • Able to read, understand, and write English
  • Able to produce and meet the evidence of identity criteria as per SafeWork / Worksafe identification requirements

Protective Personal Equipment – safety boots, high-visibility vests, and hard hats– is mandatory.

If a participant requires a reassessment for a High-Risk Work Licence an additional $250.00 + GST reassessment fee will apply.

Private courses can be arranged at any of our facilities in New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland, or for added convenience, we can come to you and deliver the course at your site, provided your site meets training and assessment requirements.

Learning Outcome
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Plan and prepare for maintenance tasks on gas pipelines and facilities

  • Use tools and testing equipment safely and effectively

  • Perform routine maintenance and report on completed work

Certification Outcome
Participants who successfully complete this unit will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for:
