About this Load and Unload Plant Course

Need to learn how to load and unload plant safely? You’re in the right place.

This course is ideal for workers with little or no experience in transporting plant equipment. It covers all the skills and knowledge needed to load and unload plant in line with industry best practice and workplace safety standards.

By completing this course, you’ll be able to carry out plant loading/unloading tasks safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant legislation and site procedures.

Course Outline
This course includes both theory and practical components designed to build confidence on the job:

  • Safety and legislative requirements

  • Planning and preparing for loading/unloading tasks

  • Conducting pre-operational checks

  • Performing safe loading and unloading techniques

  • Securing plant and cleaning up work areas

All course participants must be:

  • 18 years or older
  • Able to read, understand, and write English
  • Able to produce and meet the evidence of identity criteria as per SafeWork / Worksafe identification requirements

Protective Personal Equipment – safety boots, high-visibility vests, and hard hats– is mandatory.

If a participant requires a reassessment for a High-Risk Work Licence an additional $250.00 + GST reassessment fee will apply.

Private courses can be arranged at any of our facilities in New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland, or for added convenience, we can come to you and deliver the course at your site, provided your site meets training and assessment requirements.

Onsite Requirements:

  • A room with power, table/chairs, and a wall or screen for presentations

  • A flat, clear area for practical activities

  • In-service plant and operator manual

Learning Outcome
Participants will learn to:

  • Understand OHS and legal responsibilities

  • Follow worksite safety procedures

  • Plan and prepare plant movements

  • Conduct equipment checks

  • Load and unload plant safely

  • Secure machines correctly

  • Clean up and store equipment

Licence Outcome
Successful participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for RIIHAN308F – Load and Unload Plant.

We run 1-day earthmoving upgrade courses for experienced operators!

  • Duration: 1 day (8 hours)
  • Outcome: Statement of Attainment + a Verification of Competence VOC certificate.
  • Requirements: Students must hold an old OHS certification OR have 500+ hours of operational experience.

If a participant withdraws from a qualification/unit, with less than seven (7) business days notice prior to commencement, Kallibr Training reserves the right to retain the 30% administration booking fee.

No refund will be provided within two (2) business days prior to commencement. No refund will be permitted after course commencement or if a participant fails to attend on the scheduled commencement date.
