About this UEGNSG229 – Prepare Simple Drawings of as Laid Gas Mains & Services Course
This unit provides the skills and knowledge required to prepare simple, accurate drawings of newly installed or altered gas mains and services. These drawings serve as critical records for future location and maintenance activities.
You’ll learn how to document gas infrastructure accurately using basic drafting techniques, without the need for advanced CAD software or complex design tools.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
All course participants must be:
- 18 years or older
- Able to read, understand, and write English
- Able to produce and meet the evidence of identity criteria as per SafeWork / Worksafe identification requirements
Protective Personal Equipment – safety boots, high-visibility vests, and hard hats– is mandatory.
If a participant requires a reassessment for a High-Risk Work Licence an additional $250.00 + GST reassessment fee will apply.
Private courses can be arranged at any of our facilities in New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland, or for added convenience, we can come to you and deliver the course at your site, provided your site meets training and assessment requirements.
Learning Outcome
On completion of the course, participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge:

Prepare accurate drawings to reflect installed or modified gas infrastructure

Finalise and complete all relevant documentation for compliance and records
Outcome
Participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment upon successful completion.
