About this Bulldozer Operations Course

Looking to get certified to operate a dozer? You’re in the right place.

This course is designed for workers in operational roles within the civil construction industry. It provides the knowledge and practical skills required to safely operate a bulldozer, including planning work, using attachments, and maintaining the machine.

You’ll be assessed on your ability to perform bulldozer operations safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site and WHS requirements—demonstrated across multiple scenarios.

This unit is part of a nationally recognised qualification that meets the requirements for RIIMPO323E.

Course Outline
This course includes both theory and practical components, covering:

  • Workplace health and safety responsibilities

  • Planning and preparing for dozer operations

  • Pre-start checks and machine setup

  • Dozer operation techniques

  • Using and changing attachments (if applicable)

  • Relocating the equipment safely

  • Maintenance and worksite clean-up

All course participants must be:

  • 18 years or older
  • Able to read, understand, and write English
  • Able to produce and meet the evidence of identity criteria as per SafeWork / Worksafe identification requirements

Protective Personal Equipment – safety boots, high-visibility vests, and hard hats– is mandatory.

If a participant requires a reassessment for a High-Risk Work Licence an additional $250.00 + GST reassessment fee will apply.

Private courses can be arranged at any of our facilities in New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland, or for added convenience, we can come to you and deliver the course at your site, provided your site meets training and assessment requirements.

Onsite Requirement: 

  • A room with access to power, a blank wall for presentation, a projector screen or a large TV, table/s and chairs.
  • Clear flat area for performing Dozer operations
  • Dozer (in serviceable condition with operator’s manual present)

Learning Outcome
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:

  • Understand OHS obligations and site procedures

  • Follow safe work instructions

  • Plan and carry out bulldozer tasks

  • Operate the dozer efficiently and safely

  • Fit, remove and use dozer attachments (if required)

  • Maintain and relocate the equipment

  • Clean up and restore the work area

Outcome
A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued for:

Are you a highly experienced operator?

We run 1-day earthmoving upgrade courses for experienced operators!

  • Duration: 1 day (8 hours)
  • Outcome: Statement of Attainment + a Verification of Competence VOC certificate.
  • Requirements: Students must hold an old OHS certification OR have 500+ hours of operational experience.

If a participant withdraws from a qualification/unit, with less than seven (7) business days notice prior to commencement, Kallibr Training reserves the right to retain the 30% administration booking fee.

No refund will be provided within two (2) business days prior to commencement. No refund will be permitted after course commencement or if a participant fails to attend on the scheduled commencement date.
