TLILIC0016 - Licence to Operate a Bridge & Gantry Crane

The Bridge and Gantry Crane (CB licence) course takes 5 days, face to face, with theory and hands-on practical training.

When you are assessed as competent you receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0016, issued by Kallibr Training (RTO 32365). You then apply to the work health and safety regulator in your state (Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, SafeWork NSW or WorkSafe Victoria) for your High Risk Work Licence. We explain the application on the day.

There are no prerequisites. You also need to be 18 years or older; able to read, understand, and write English; able to produce and meet the evidence of identity criteria as per SafeWork / Worksafe identification requirements.

The fee for each class shows next to its date before you book. For a group or onsite quote, call 1300 668 141. Your state regulator charges a separate fee for the licence itself, paid to them when you apply.

At our training centres in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, as dates are scheduled. We can also run it at your workplace for a group, if your site meets the training and assessment requirements.

You are assessed through a written or verbal theory assessment and a practical assessment. The licence assessment uses the national assessment instrument and is run by an accredited assessor. If you are not yet competent in a part, your trainer explains what to work on and the options for reassessment.

Yes. A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is needed for all nationally recognised training. It is free and takes a few minutes to create at usi.gov.au.

Bring current photo ID and your USI, and wear enclosed safety boots and clothes suited to practical work. Your booking confirmation lists anything else this course needs.

High Risk Work Licences are renewed with your state regulator, generally every 5 years. Renewing does not usually mean redoing the course, as long as you renew before it expires.
